Although the issue states that it is the duty of entertainment media to ensure that the content of entertainment is suitable for all young children ,I disagree with this opinion and feel that more than the entertainment media , the parents of the children are the ones who should be regulating the control of these options to the students.
Firstly, entertainment media today controls the society and they have penetrated their roots and networks into the society .Today we cannot imagine a day without not switching to television ,television has entered within our daily core activities , we can sacrifice socializing , having outdoor activities but we cannot think of compromising our favorite Television program . Children nowadays are dependent on entertainment forms through playing games in internet , watching cartoons in Television , animated movies on theaters on Television and movie halls.Entertainment media is not only recreational but educational too , they are also a source of learning new subjects and documentaries on history, science, geography, aerospace, wildlife are present on Bournvita CDs which are valuable source of information.There are numerous channels in cable TV and with these blessings in TV we can get our children exposed to various other kinds of information and entertainment.A child can unknowingly surf into an inappropriate channel and get exposed to all kinds of violent, GMAT and adult contents.
Secondly, entertainment industry is the most profitable business in the economy now ,we have forgot to socialize, play games and travel as we can get all these recreation from entertainment media itself . They provide us with all the needs that we need to get , a mere surf of a TV channel can expose us to all sorts of existing pleasures and the followers and subscribers of the TV channels and cd and movie business has always incremented to support this demand.In turn, easy accessibility to all kinds of pleasure has made us vulnerable to its prey.Easy availability of pornographic movies in internet,vulgar dance moves, B and C grade movies ,violent crime scenes and movies and stint operations has made the undeveloped adult, the children easy access to negative kind of influence.
Entertainment industry in order to reap its profits would not stop telecasting its shows and also they bank on the teenagers and naive minds as their easy targets . They know that children have a curious mind and can easily get motivated and influenced by things which they are always restricted from doing.Parents have to control the kind of exposure their children are into by controlling their limits on internet , TV and channels viewing and access to external forms of entertainment because it is the parents who can only regulate their own children for their own profit and because here there are no monetary profits involved.
Patrolling the entertainment industry is tougher than patrolling ourselves who are the proud parents of the future generation of society.
