(1) y + z = 1

(2) y^2 < z^2
OA: C
statement 1)

try some numbers: y could be -2 and z could be 3 ---> y<z or y could be 3 and z could be -2 -->y>z insufficient

statement 2)

y^2<z^2
y^2-z^2<0
(y+z)(y-z)<0

therefore y<-z or y<z insufficient

combine

if y+z=1 then (1)(y-z)<0-->y<z sufficient

Answer C

you got this man!

y<z

st 1 y+z = 1
Maybe
y = 0 z =1

or

y =1 z=0

st 2

y=1 z=2

y^2<z^2
y<z
or

y=1 z=-2
Y^2<z^2
but y>z

Together

y=1-z

(1-z)^2<z^2
1-2z<0
z>1/2

Since y-z=1
y<z
