1. x/y < 0.
2. x + y < 0.

stmt1,

x/y<0

Either x or y is negative.

So xy ll be -ve and xy<0

stmt2,

x+y<0

x=1,y=-2,x+y<0,xy<0

x=-1,y=-3,x+y<0,xy>0

We dont know the sign of both x and y.
