Is x + y > 0?

Is x + y > 0?
I. x - 3 y > 0.
II. 4 y - x > 0.

Statement 1: x-3y > 0.
x > 3y.
It's possible that x and y are both positive (x=4 and y=1) or both negative (x=-1 and y=-1).
INSUFFICIENT.

Statement 2: 4y > x.
It's possible that x and y are both positive (y=1 and x=1) or both negative (y=-1 and x=-5).
INSUFFICIENT.

Statement 1 and 2:
Since 4y>x and x>3y, we get:
4y > 3y
y > 0.
Since x > 3y and y>0, x>0.
Since x>0 and y>0, x+y > 0.
SUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is C.
