Target question: Is a > b?

Statement 1: 2a > 2b
Divide both sides by 2 to get: a > b
The answer to the target question is YES, a IS greater than b
Since we can answer the target question with certainty, statement 1 is SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: a + c > b + c
Subtract b from both to get: a > b
The answer to the target question is YES, a IS greater than b
Since we can answer the target question with certainty, statement 2 is SUFFICIENT

Answer: D
