Is GMAT 640 sufficient to apply this year?

by tnttijji » Tue Feb 05, 2008 3:42 am
My GMAT Score is 640. I have a Master Degree and a work-exp of 4+ years in an IT consulting firm in Blore, India as a Business Development Manager handling teams and enterprise products. Given the criterion that I would be focussing on the top 10 US b-schools, need your inputs on whether I should apply this year with the current score or do I improve my score and apply the next year?

Hi tnttijji,

A GMAT score of 640 is a bit low for top ten programs, particularly because your background and work experience is a bit overrepresented in the applicant pool. I would suggest visiting the sticky thread on GMAT and GPA.

Good luck!
