by RAMKARTHIK.GMAT » Fri Jan 29, 2010 9:09 pm
Hello!! :D :D

This is karthik, i am engineer in an steel company with two years of experience.

I had an aversion with this job, rather job profile. Then i thought i would go for GMAT and as a stranger :?: i rambled through the sites  for the information. I found this site  to be very useful in paving my way towards success  (730 +). I have been reading/ visiting various profiles and their success stories in this site and they build my enthusiasm a lot :o .

Now I have got adequate acquaintance and confidence for GMAT. I have not yet planned my exam date, although wish to take in July 2010. Hope to have a rejoyful experience  with this site and also these will help me out to get me into 700 + forum of GMAT.

Njoy !!

Karthik :D

Hello.

My name is Cirus, I live and work in Central America.
I currently work as Mobile Communications Marketing Manager.
The reason why I'm here is because of one obvious reason: I decided to study MBA and I need 700+ GMAT score.

Today I took my first GMAT, the real GMAT that I had scheduled 3 months ago, but it was a total disaster.
My original plan was to prepare for the test during 3 months and then give the first shot, which was this morning.
But I hadn't studied AT ALL during last 3 months. About 2 weeks ago, I started to listen to the online course I had purchased and just went through some basic math concepts and problems. It was going to be an experimental test anyway, so I constantly told myself not to worry too much and stay calm. But the result of the test (it is so low that I can't even mention it out loud) really got me through. I came home, tried to organize myself with all the study material...., but couldn't concentrate on anything. I think it was a bad idea to take the test without any preparation in the first place.

I was really frustrated and disappointed on myself (I still am)..., and clicking here and there through the websites in despair, I found this forum. I've seen many GMAT forums before but never had joined to any of them. So this is the first time I'm joining to one. I hope to receive lots of support from all of you and hope that some day I can be helpful in return.

Just to wrap up..., I'm NOT a native-english spoken..., I plan to take my next GMAT on June 14th (which means I have 3 months to study...., again..), and one thing that I'm certain about is that even though I feel down today, I will keep trying until I achieve my goal.

And I'm so sorry for this long and depressing intro....

Hello everyone! My name is Benjy and I come from the Philippines. I took the GMAT last July and have applied to several US schools. Unfortunately, I got rejected in Kellogg and Tuck outright. I was waitlisted in Columbia but eventually turned down. I am down to my last application which is to Fuqua (Round 3). I will travel to Durham this weekend to interview. Hopefully, it will all work out! Has anyone been there?
