Was that a typo, or are you truly going to study until next August for your test? I hope you meant this August!

I highly recommend studying in an 8-12 week time frame. Believe me, after about 2.5 months you'll be sick of studying and any more time could lead to burn out.

Regarding your question, which book are you working from? You may be able to gauge generally where you stand by looking at what others have scored using those tests. Your best bet, however, is to go to mba.com, download the GMATPrep software (free), and take one of those tests for a baseline score. That software is the best indicator of your standing.

Hit rate won't tell you much because your score is dependent on the difficulty of questions you answer correctly. And when you're taking the actual test, unless you're scoring above a 730 or so, you will end up getting half the questions wrong - that's what the algorithm is aiming for, from what I understand.

Also consider relying on the OG11 to a good amount. This forum is a great resource to determine not only your areas or weaknesses, but also what supplements you can use to help elevate your score in those areas in which you could use improvement.

I took 1 practice test with Barron GMAT 2006, 1 practice test with GMAT Kaplan and another with GMAT crash preparation for top scores.

I intend to take practice test online that you recommend before I go to take the real test. I guess I have to work harder to get my target scores. Thanks
