C. a condition of the spine curving abnormally and in which the body is thrown out of line

i pick C as well.
should be "a condition of..."
E's "throwing the body" can be read to modify spine, which is incorrect

As I mentioned above, please put the reasons to choose any answer. This will definitely result in more understanding for all of us.
Thanks.

B. I think they are all crappy answers. B is the least. Socoliosis is a condition/disease/etc... It is not an abnormal curvature of the spine in and of itself. But all the other answers with "condition" are wordy and introduce errors. B is the least crappy.

IMO B

a)when - should be used when referencing time
c)too wordy and ackward
d)where - should be used when referencing a place/area
e)wordy and ambiguous - 'throwing the body out of line' can modify condition as well as spine

b)concise without any change to the original meaning

i went for c as it is the scoliosis which is actually throwing the body out of line . except c rest is conveying that its curve or spinal is throwing the body out of line

It's between A, C & E for me.

IMO E!

Problem with A: "..when.." needlessly used
Problem with C: Unlike in original statement, " ..body is thrown out of line.." is not effect of "..spine curving abnormally.."

Its either B or A
Because, C is too wordy.
D uses "where" which is incorrect.
E again unnecessarily wordy.

Most probably its B since it is concise.

A&E

IMO A

In E, it says "a condition of an abnormal curvature..."
I guess it says Scoliosis is just one of the conditions of all the possible conditions of abnormal curvature..

OA please

IMO - B.

I would read this sentence as: Scoliosis, can cause heart and lung problems as well as physical deformity.......but what is Scoliosis....an abnormal curvature of the spine that throws the body out of line.

Please do let me know if my thinking is correct.

Thanks
