Given,

p-q>0 or p>q

(q-p)/(r+q) > (-p)/r

rq>-pq?

stmt1,

r<0

(-1)(2)>-(3)(2),true

(-4)(2)<-(3)(2),False

Insuff

stmt2,

q<0

(-7)(-2)>-(5)(-2),True

3(-2)<-(-1)(-2),False

Insuff

combining 1 and 2,

r<0 and q<0

(-6)(-1)>-(2)(-1),True

(-1)(-1)<-(2)(-1),False

Insuff

p-q>0 , is (q-p)/(r+q) > (-p)/r ?
1)r<0
2)q<0

First lets just simplify...

since p-q> 0 then q-p <0

so our eqn becomes -ve/(r+q) > -p/r

statement 1)

r is -ve

-ve/(r+q) > p

now this would be true when
r+q < 0 and p is -ve
and will fail when r+q >0 and p is +ve

since both cases are possible...
insufficient...

statement 2)

leaves us with the same dilemma... insufficient...

even together...
r<0 and q<0
then we know r+q < 0

but we cannot establish anything abt P, since its p>q

Hence insufficient..

Pick E

ewhhh so complicating! i will solve it like the following solution
(Q-P)/R+Q>-P/R
(Q-P)/(R+Q)+P/R>O
Or Q(R+P)/R(R+Q)>0???
WE KNOW r AND P WITHOUT KNOWING Q
i chose E

I did it this way:

(q - p) / (r + q) > -p / r
cross multiply
rq - rp > -rp - qp
rq > - qp
r > - p

i) r is negative, but p could be negative or positive

ii) irrelevant
