If a,b,c,d and e are distinct positive integers which of the five integers is the median?
1) c=(b+d)/2
2) 2c<a<e

IMO E.
1) says 2c = b + d
returns multiple values, if c = 5, b + d can be 4 + 6, 7 + 3, 8 + 2..
gives nothing abt a and e.
Insufficient.
2) 2c<a<e.
gives nothing about b and d.
Together,
b + d = 2c, 2c < a < e
Mutiple possible values,
b = 2, d = 8, c = 5, a = 11, e = 13.. median 8
OR
b = 6, d = 4, c = 5, a = 13, e = 11.. median 6
Insufficient.

Pick E.
