just wanted to share this with the board:

I took a GMATprep today. Got a 710 (45Q, 41V). Interestingly, I got the first 4 quant questions in a row wrong (!!!!). I got a total of 10/37 wrong.

I was always wondering about the importance of the first questions, and there seems to still be some debate out there about this. This makes me feel better. It is NOT the end of the world as long as you recover.

Excellent point- and this example does go a long way towards dispelling the myth that the first few questions essentially determine your score. No reason to panic if you struggle early in the test- you can definitely make it up later with a good performance.
