INTEGERS

by candela.tartiere » Tue Mar 05, 2013 12:33 am
IF K IS A POSITIVE INTEGER SUCH THAT K/3 IS AN EVEN INTEGER AND IS AN ODD INTEGER, WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING MUST BE TRUE?
1. K IS EVEN
2. (K/2)^2 IS EVEN
3. K/2 -K/3 IS ODD

A. 1 ONLY
B. 2 ONLY
C. 3 ONLY
D. 1 AND 2
E. 1 AND 3

I solved this exercise by using two examples, but I would like to know the theory behind to solve it.

That doesn't make any sense. Please check your source and post the actual question.
