Tougher as in material? That would be manhattan. Depending on when you got the Kaplan CATs their scoring algorithm may be off by 50-80 points.

Depends, when was the CAT released? If its current, then it accurately reflects your abilities.

yeah i am workin on the latest one...so i guess i might see a dip in the scores cos am plannin 2 take manhattan cat..any input on ths???

IMHO, it depends. People tend to say that the Kaplan algorithm is more unforgiving than the Manhattan one and that Kaplan has tough problems, but that depends on your personal perception of the stuff. Kaplan is more straightforward-math-problem oriented, which might be harder for someone who hasn't had the chance to do math in a while. I personally even received an 800 on a Kaplan test...

I say don't fret no matter if your scores go down on Manhattan tests. You should put all your scores into perspective: nothing is as accurate as GMATprep, but it's still good practice. Especially if you've been practicing for some time, you'll be able to tell when a reading passage is excessively long or difficult (as might be the case for some Kaplan passages that I've worked through) or when a quant problem is extremely hard (like some Manhattan problems).
