|x + 2| = 4, what is the value of x?

(1) x^2 is not equal to 4

(2) x^2 = 36

D if Stmt II is x^2 = 36

|x+2| = 4

x = -6 or x=2

Stmt I

Says x cannot be 2 since x^2 <> 4 so x=-6

SUFF

Stmt II

x has to be -6 since x^2 = 36

SUFF
