how do we go from:

1 > 1 - ab > 0

to

1>ab

Subtracting 1, we get 0 > -ab > -1
Divide by -1, it will change the sign of inequality: 0 < ab < 1

So once we have come at 0 < ab < 1, can we drop the "0<" part and take away the rest of the equation or do we have to keep it?

If we drop the "0<" part then the meaning of the inequality changes as it becomes ab < 1 and product of ab can be any value less than 1.
But 0 < ab < 1 implies value of ab will be positive as it lies between 0 and 1.

So then,
1 > 1 - ab > 0 ------> 1>ab is wrong then?

it should be 1>ab>0 right??
