for firms' survival...here actual noun is not firms'....the noun is survival...

just like....in JACK'S CAR....REFER TO CAR

as the last part include such firms, so "firms" should be there in the firt part....which is only
there in B not in E

I do agree there is a difference but "Jack's" word sounds possessive and it refers to car but here the word in E is not "firm's" but "firms'", which is not possessive...............

Hi, pls look at the op E, carefully.....its firms'...not the ' after firms..
its the possessive form of firms....or the possessive form of plural firms....
firm's budget------> budget of single firm
firms' budget------> budget of many firms..
but in both the cases noun is budget...modifier makes the difference only in the meaning....
not in the subject

where can we read about firms only in B and E, otherwise "such firms" is meaningless part in this sentence
but E makes illogical precedence with "firms" --> "for firms' survival" lays ground for speaking not exactly about the firms - we can speak and bring examples about anything related to these firms and an electronics industry;
choice B makes clear precedence for the rest of the sentence.

such means like antecedent, and the only logical antecedent here is firms`-possessive which can`t be valid antecedent for such
but in B i see also idiom problem
