IMO B

I was thnking B because I thought the idiom was anxiety about

I redid this question and axiety that makes sense as it restores the meaning

I came to the conclusion that it was E.

I feel emotions are expressed and hence its subjunctive...thus that..


Also usage of noun- " reference" doesnt modify "smokers" properly...

the statement is in the present tense and thus the correct answer should be in present tense as frequently express the present tense. E is the answer. also "referring to" is much better than "when referring to".
