Given: The ratio of the number of ounces of sugar to the number of ounces of cinnamon is 15 to 1
(15 ounces of sugar) + (1 ounce of cinnamon) = 16 ounces of mixture
So, for every 16 ounces of mixture, we have 15 ounces of sugar and 1 ounce of cinnamon.
So, we can see that 15/16 of the mixture is sugar.

Question: How many ounces of sugar are in 24 ounces of the mixture?
Volume of sugar in the mixture = 15/16 of 24
= (15/16)(24)
= 22.5

Answer: C
