So we have 2C = 3S = 4P => 2C = 4P => P = C/2 => 18P = 18*C/2 = 9C

The correct answer: A

Hope this helps!

We are given the following:

2 crowns = 3 shields

3 shields = 4 pounds

Thus, 2 crowns = 4 pounds. Now we can let x = the number crowns equal to 18 pounds and create the proportion:

2/4 = x/18

4x = 36

x = 9
