one of my friends gv gmat yestrday.
he said that Sc was very different from what Og is.
for eg he sadi that ..there were questions mainly on.
1>players status or status of the palyer
2>parks deveolpmnt or development of the park

like thses sort of questions...is there any method to distinguish between these...kindly pl expalin asap

Kalyan,
It depends on the entire sentence. One is in active voice and another is in passive voice. Active voice almost always prefered except in sentences which explain a theory or such, where the doer(subject) is not as important as the act itself.
MGMAT SC book talks about this. and has a few examples.

Also the voice of the rest of the sentence dictates the voice of the choices.
