Also, PGPExplain event has been organized in 5 cities on 13th July -

The PGPExplain is an information session conducted by IIM Calcutta to reach out to all aspiring candidates for its PGPEX program. The event provides a platform for direct interaction between PGPEX candidates and the faculty and alumni of IIM Calcutta.

Thanks for your suggestions. Indeed, there is a dedicated active thread on PagalGuy about IIM Calcutta PGPEX program.

I believe that 1 year full time MBA programs, such as IIM Cal PGPEX, are catching up fast in India. Probably 1 year MBA programs are going to rule the MBA education. Such programs are already popular in Europe, but not so in USA.

As you have great experience in MBA counselling, i request you to provide your opinion about 1 year MBA programs in India?

1 year programs in India

Pros - Good quality education and Fantastic RoI overall and an excellent choice if your career plans are India-centric.

Cons - International / multi-cultural representation in the class and trans-regional mobility / opportunities can be pretty limited (though a few might get overseas placements).

I had joined PGPEX program and graduated from there in Mar 2014. Currently working in Ghana with Mahindra Comviva. It was a good experience.
