If zt < -3, is z < 4 ?

(1) z < 9
(2) t < -4


I don't know the answer so someone please explain.Thanks.

My answer is B. 2nd statement alone is sufficient.
Please can someone verify my answer. Got the question from a document in one post.Answer is not given.

I guess it should be E.

Statement (1)
z<9, not sufficient, because z could be 8 which is > 4 or 3 which is less than 4, clearly not sufficient without knowing t

Statement (2)
t<-4, not sufficient, because if t = -5 which is < -4, then from zt < -3, we get -5z < -3, z >3/5 which could be 1 (which is less than 4) or 5 (which is greater than 4).

Both statements taken together also don't seem sufficient...since z<9 is true for both z =5 and z=1
