Solution:

Setting 3x + 2 equal to -4 - 6x (since they both are equal to y), we have:

3x + 2 = -4 - 6x

9x = -6

x = -6/9 = -2/3

Since y = 3x + 2, then y = 3(-2/3) + 2 = -2 + 2 = 0. (Or, since y = -4 - 6x, then y = -4 - 6(-2/3) = -4 + 4 = 0.)

Answer: B
