GIVEN: x + 5 > 2
Subtract 5 from both sides of the inequality to get: x > -3
Or we can write this as -3 < x

GIVEN: x - 3 < 7
Add 3 to both sides of the inequality to get: x < 10

COMBINE the inequalities to get: -3 < x < 10

Answer: A

Let's isolate x in each inequality.

x + 5 > 2

x > -3

Next we simplify x - 3 < 7.

x - 3 < 7

x < 10

We know that x is greater than -3 and less than 10.
