Squaring both sides, we get:
(x²)² + (x+1)²
x� = x² + 2x + 1

Substituting x²=x+1 into x� = x² + 2x + 1, we get:
x� = (x+1) + 2x + 1
x� = 3x + 2

The correct answer is A.
