x/2 = 3/y

xy = 6

is x<y?

1. y>=3

If you consider x and y as integers, x can have a max value of 2 to satisfy xy=6.
Even if you consider x and y as fractions, x will never have more than 2. So, x is less than y in any case.
Sufficient.

2. y<=4

If y=3, x=2. x < y
If y=1, x=6. x > y
Insufficient.

x/2 = 3/y--->x=6/y

1) since y >=3 for any value in this range x<y hence suff

2) y<=4 for y=3 x<y and for y=2 x>y hence insuff
