If r + s + t = r - u = s - t

r + s + t = s - t, implies r =-2t
r + s + t = r - u, implies s + t + u = 0
r + s + t + s - t = 2 *(r - u) = 2*(s - t), implies r + 2s = 2 * (s - t)
