If n is an integer and 100 < n <200, what is the value of n?
(1) (n/36) is an odd integer.
(2) (n/45) is an even integer.
OA C but i think its B.
I know this has already been posted earlier. But there was no firm answer .
Can someone please tell me what will be the real answer .
Thanks

let me try.....
LCM of 36 and 45 is 180.
and 100 < 180 <200. so, n is 180
180/36 = 5 is an odd integer
180/45 = 4 is an even integer.
OA is C since we can't determine value of n by any one option. we need 1 and 2 to identify the value of n.
Hope, this helps.

Let me add my two cents
it is B..
multiples of 35 between 100 and 200
36 * 3 = 108
36 * 4 = 144
36 * 5 = 180
so it can be 108 or 180 with odd multiple
multiple of 45 between 100 and 200 is
45 * 3 = 135
45 * 4 = 180
multiple shoudl be even integer so it is sure to be 180
IMO B

kewltot,
Statement II is giving u one unique answer. And so we select Answer option B
IF neither statements give u a unique answer then we go for combining these two statements and hence the answer can be C or E accordingly.
So it is B IMO
