Just factor out 4^7 from the sum in the numerator:

(4^7 + 4^8 + 4^9 + 4^10)/5 = x*4^7
4^7(1 + 4 + 4^2 + 4^3)/5 = x*4^7

and now if we divide by 4^7 on both sides, we have

1 + 4 + 4^2 + 4^3 = 5x
85 = 5x
17 = x

The common factor in the numerator is 4^7. We can simplify the equation and solve for x:

4^7(1 + 4^1 + 4^2 + 4^3) = 5(x)(4^7)

1 + 4^1 + 4^2 + 4^3 = 5x

1 + 4 + 16 + 64 = 5x

85 = 5x

17 = x

Answer: E
