If \(\dfrac1{x}+\dfrac13+\dfrac14=1,\) then \(x =\)

A. \(2\)

B. \(\dfrac{24}{11}\)

C. \(\dfrac{12}5\)

D. \(5\)

E. \(6\)

Answer: C

Solution:

Multiplying the equation by 12x, we have:

12 + 4x + 3x = 12x

12 = 5x

12/5 = x
