If a#-b, is (a-b)/(b+a) > 1

If a#-b, is (a-b)/(b+a) > 1?

(1) b^2 > a^2
(2) a-b>1

I'm confused how to set up the formulas here. Can any experts help?

There is a typo in the question. Pl. correct it.
