The OA is A
Solution:

0.2 x 3k = 6

3k = 6/0.2

3k = 30

k = 10

So 40 percent of 10 is 0.4 x 10 = 4.

Alternate Solution:

If 20 percent of 3k is 6, then 20 percent of k is 6/3 = 2. Since 40 percent of k is twice 20 percent of k, 40 percent of k is 2 x 2 = 4.

Answer: A
