The only time you would use "target to" is with the gerund (to do what) verb.
Ex. Target to win or Target to come

Oh, sorry, thank you for pointing it out.
I thought gerund was the "to do" form of the verb, but it's not, it's the -ing form of the verb.

Anyways, I meant the "to do" form of the verb (I forgot what it's called) is when you need to use "target to".

Another question then,
"targeted at" or "targeted to"?

"The breakfast cereal commercial was targeted at young kids" sounds better to me than "the breakfast cereal commercial was targeted to young kids"

I think "target at" is right.

Gerund is not just -ing, but it's -ing used as noun.

He was eating in the park. "eating" is NOT gerund because it's not used as a noun.

His eating became a problem after the surgery. "eating" is a gerund. It's a noun, subject of "became"
=============================================

The "To do" form of a verb is the infinnitive form.

yeah, if this issue could be clarified this would be great

the beatthegmat.com flashcards give contradictory information


"The chocolate company targeted its advertising to single women"

while another flashcard states

targeted at CORRECT
targeted to INCORRECT
