So, I think my journey for the GMAT officially began today, as I put my money where my mouth is and registered (April 2, 2010) and then went and took a free practice GMAT offered by Princeton Review.
A little background: I'm a junior at a well-respected liberal arts college in the northeast. I'm a history major, and also plan on taking the LSAT. I would love to do a JD/MBA, and we'll see how that goes.
Anyway, thus far (other than today) I have only bought the Princeton Review book and taken a free practice GMAT online offered by Manhattan GMAT. I took the test a few days ago before I began studying, just to see where I was. It seemed doggone impossible--like, the Quant. section seemed to contain all 700+ questions for the most part. However, I guess I did okay, because I got a 640, which is slightly below my target.
I plan on doing well in school this semester while lightly studying, then begin going harder over Xmas break, and taking a Kaplan course when I get back to school in January.
Anyone have any advice on good books/guides/where I can find CAT exams? I've begun checking more unconventional sources as well (i.e. youtube, blogs), and that was how I wound up here.
