i don't understand my progress

hello all,

I have been studying for the mgat for 2months now and I have made very little progress: I had felt as if I had made progress but all has collapsed over the past 2-days. I have written the following exams:

oct 1st: Kaplan cat 1 550 (?V,?q)
Oct 20th: MGMAT cat 1 580 (24Q, 46V)
Oct 30th Kaplan cat 2 620 (41V, 35Q)
Nov 1st: GMAT prep 1 650 (44Q, ?V)
Nov 10th: MGMAT cat 2 600 (42Q, 32V)
Nov 11th: Mgat Cat 3 590 (39Q, 33V)

Why the up down nature of my marks? What is going on? I am half way through my MGMAT CR book and thought my verbal would improve....I have 90% accuracy on GMAT Q questions.

I am getting nervous.

Its quite natural to feel worried when you encounter such scores...But its natural that the scores will vary as the tests are not the same...I mean the level of GMAT Prep is different than MGMAT and Kaplan tests are different than both those tests...

Just look at your GMAT prep scores....they are the most accurate indicators of your true level on the GMAT...The GMAT prep scores are +/- 20 points that of the actual GMAT score...so your actual GMAT level is from 630 to 670.

Your scores clearly indicate that you need to work on your fundamentals. Work on the basics and make them that strong that even when you are not preparing for the GMAT, your mind is able to analyse things the GMAT way .
