Hello Friends......................I am witting this piece to get some advise from you all people.........

I WANT to do GMAT and get into a good bschool but i feel i don't have ability to do that, I feel so becuase

1) My control on Language in general is very week
2) Specially English is pathetic....with no reading habit....No confidence that i can learn and do well in GMAT..
3)I am kind of person who has studied by mugging up the things
4) Have very short term memory and very low grasping power
5)No good writting skills or control on phrase to be used.
6) and many others problem....................


BUT I want to crack it...................not to show world but to improve myself............recently i discovered that I am not even interested in studing..............I do spend time in thinking that i have to do this but no implementation..........................

Please advise...I am quite confused...............IS IT JUST A WASTEFULL THOUGHT THAT I HAVE IN MY MIND?? OR ...................Please advise.

You can do it!

I think your biggest problem is your confidence level. You are not giving yourself a chance. There are posts on here from people who have gone from scoring in the 400's to the 700's. If you really want it, you can do it. You should start with the most basic aspects of English and math and build up your confidence, then go from there.

You can make a good strategy for the preparation by doing some analysis of your strength and weakness.

Good that at least you know your weaknesses!
Most of people fail to do this analysis.
You can read many success stories from "I just beat the GMAT forum" and learn what it takes to tick. and form your own study plan.


I think all the weak points you mentioned are addressable (at least for short term goals like beating the GMAT 8) )

But I am concerned more about your intention of taking the GMAT.
If you dont want to take the GMAT for any purpose, I would not take it.
If you just want to improve your English and want to start studying not for MBA in mind, I would not spend $250 for that. There are other better and cheaper ways to do that.

I would recommend taking an English course and/or getting an English tutor before attempting the GMAT. If you can really improve your English skills, it'll help you all the way around!
