How to reach a mid-40s in Quant?

by camtip » Sun Aug 12, 2012 11:15 am
Hi,

I have some problems with quant section of the GMAT! I have never scored above 40 and I am eager to read some of your strategies.

My material for the Quant section:

- Manhattan Gmat number properties guide
- OG 12th Edition
- OG Quant Review 2nd Edition

Any help is welcomed!!!

I recommend you use all 5 of the MGMAT quant guides. Quant is definitely my weakest area, and the MGMAT guides have been hugely helpful. Prior to using MGMAT, I took an online course, which raised my quant score to 40. For the past few weeks I've been using MGMAT, and scored 44 on a MGMAT CAT yesterday. I still have significant room for improvement, but 44 is my highest quant score yet.

Thank you for your reply. I have 3 MGMAT Guides (Number properties, Fdp, Equations inequalities and Vics).
Just to have an idea, what was your starting point in Quant? I had a Q29 at my first practice test, and lately I reached 40 at my best MGMAT CAT (scoring a Q40 V38).
