I have realized that I have a tendency to give answers that are out of scope in both RC and CR. These answers sound so right to me at the time, but when I read through the explanations, then I realize that I made an assumption, overreached... information not explicitly provided. I have been making a conscious effort not to do this but it's still happening now and then... I might say that this problem leads to 95% of my wrong answers. 5% arise from not understanding the premises.
There may not be a clear-cut way to deal with this, but I would really value your imput on how you've dealt with it or suggestions.
