Hi,

exactly 1 month left for my D-day !!

I am giving full length test on 3 days basis, but major setback in all is Verbal score .

SC & CR major cause of concern for me.

I did not go through Quant section yet & scoring 45-48, I planned to give quant 5 days .

Plz guide, My last score from veritas free test is 640 (Q 48 V 30)

Regards
Shivam

Hi Racklesshivam,

If you can answer a few questions, then I'll be happy to advise:

1) What is your score goal?
2) What schools do you want to apply to?
3) What resources have you been using to study?

Sir,

1) I am trying to score at least 710 + keeping any eye on on ISB - India & college in same league.
2) For verbal I am having the followings
For SC - MG SC guide,Aristotle SC grail along with OG
For CR - Power Score CR & MGMAT CR
For RC - OG
1 point i would like to quote here is that i am currently doing 24-26 correct question out of 41 in verbal but in scattered manner i.e. 3 right 1 wrong 4 right 1 wrong ...with begining - does this play any role in over all score

Hi Shivam,

Your last practice CAT puts you in range of 700, so you're not too far from your goal. Based on what you've described, my concern is that you're studying/working with books only. That type of studying is not Test-like. The GMAT requires you to work on a computer, take notes and deal with a type of fatigue that books won't create. With 1 month to go, you can certainly improve, but you're going to need to do more computer-based practice so that you can get good at the "mechanics" of answering Verbal questions (and deal with the natural fatigue that comes from staring at a computer screen for 4 hours).
