Other strategies you can pursue to improve your reading comprehension skills are to regularly read short content articles or opinion articles on a variety of online sites. Select a few sites where you can register for free, and read reports on science, economy, or business news. Some of the common topics that appear in reading passages are: earth sciences, archeology, economics, business management, human resources, organizational psychology, U.S. history/law.
You can also practice effective note-taking on the above passages. This skill is necessary for mapping out the passage you receive the first time you see it. Your notes on the passage will serve you for answering the following questions.
