I am re-starting my prep after a 580 GMAT attempt. I am currently in the "planning" mode and would like to understand from experts and fellow students how much time one should factor for the new IR section. I know what most of you will be thinking....umm..well that depends on the level, expertise etc. I understand that time the allocated to a particular section is a function of ones ability level. But, considering IR is not that important for a year at least - how much time are people spending on this section?

5 to 8 hours is enough for IR. Just glance through OG13 book if you have, else GMATPrep problems and practice problems in GMATPrep + sample problems in mba.com. Understand how questions are asked and how you can save time in which type of questions.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.
