My profile:

Education: B.Tech - Mechanical engineering

Working experience:IT industry with 5 years

How much GMAT score is required to do my MBA in top 20 B-Schools in the world.

Look at the class profiles for the schools you are interested in. You will be able to see the median GMAT score for matriculating students. That should give somewhat of a guideline for what you need. However, keep in mind that the MBA admissions process is holistic, and a strong GMAT score does not mean an automatic acceptance. If you are from an over-represented group, you may likely need a GMAT score above the median as well as other factors that will help you to stand out.

Its your overall profile that matters, GMAT is something like 25%. The rest are work experience, Extra curriculars & accomplishments, your career goals and other essays.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.
