I posted an entry in this section a little over 2 weeks ago asking for help on improving my score. I had been stuck at 580/590 (Gmat Prep an MGMAT exams) on the past 5 practice tests. Needless to say I was VERY frustrated. Shortly after, I decided to look for a GMAT tutor. Luckliy I found an amazing tutor in the Bay Area and with his help and my own effort, I have increased my score by 70 points in less than 2 weeks. Considering that I was stuck in the same range for over 6 weeks, this is huge!
What helped me the most is having someone who was not only an expert at the GMAt but also great at quickly assessing my weaknesses and forming an effective strategy. I am no feeling like I'm doing this alone and can actually see light at the end of the tunnel
I wanted to post this to help out anyone who feels the way I did. I really want to get a great score and have been 'putting in the hours' to achieve my goal. Unfortunately, the results just didn't match the amount of effort I was putting in. Having a tutor gave me much needed direction and a solid strategy to break the 600 barrier. My only regret is not doing this sooner.
My tutor Steve lives in the Bay Area but tutors students around the country via WebEx/Chrome Desktop share. Even thought I'm local, I actually prefer the online sessions because they save me time.
