how do i raise my verbal score?

hi all,

i took a practice test and got a 590 overall score
math scaled score was 42 (I got 10 questions wrong)
verbal scaled score was 30 (I got 7 questions wrong)

i actually thought i would have gotten a much better verbal score as I was feeling pretty confident about the section as I was going through it.

the 7 questions i got wrong were random and spaced out between the 41 questions. a few CRs and a few SCs and one RC question.

Given this, I still only scored 30 on the verbal. How should I proceed with tackling verbal?

What do I need to do to bring my verbal score up to the low 40s?

I think my math will hover around the low 40s, so I really need to push on figuring out how to get the verbal up?

Any advice will help

SC and CR section require improvement. Analyse your mistakes in both sections..if these are subjective then do practice on that areas and see the performance in next test.

Regularly memorizing SC and CR rule will also help you to large extent.

Practice SC and CR as much as you can. In short time you will see big improvement.

CR score can be helped by working some Logical Reasoning problems from the LSAT. These problems tend to be more difficult and often provide better practice. RC score can often be helped by reading other publications that are well-written. You might try the Wall Street Journal.
