Hi
I recently gave GMAT Exam and scored 720. Verbal-40 and Quant 49
Yesterday , I got my official score report . I have got just 4.5 in my essays.

I am planning to apply to the top programs in europe like oxford, cambridge and LBS. Could anyone please tell me how damaging is the 4.5 score?

Thanks in Advance
Tarun

Dear Tarun,

I don't know that you should retake your GMAT because of the AWA. Your 720 is a great score and your 49 quant is high. Your English ability will also show through your essays and interview, so it is possible to mitigate any concern the AWA might raise. In my opinion, you should focus on the rest of your application at this point.

Good luck,
Lisa
