i found couple oas on the web.
its confusing. between c, d, e, what is the oa?

I dont know the OA but for me it is E

what causes/is causing the bee to sustain a fatal injury?

the statement is a reason of what causes , and not what is still causing. so eliminate A and D

B - as the..., with the... is incorrect, it could have been as the..., the act of... so eliminate B

C - the honeybee's stinger,.......,results in the fact... is incorrect, plus it is wordy and awkward

so we are left with E

I go with E.

I guess some people might be confused between D and E.

But D implies "The heavily barbed stinger" results in something, which is not the case.

"act of stinging causing" is awkward
so AD out

so E IMO is the best choice

Just a quick question. In option E with the result that is followed by a subordinate clause....
I was just wondering if with the result acts as subordinating conjunction?
