D shud not be correct because it says that ...

The heavily barbed stinger of the honeybee stays where it is inserted, and results in the act of stinging causing

The heavily barbed stinger results in the act of stinging causing ....

rather it is because the stinger stays where it is inserted ... which results in the injury of the bee.

E shud be the correct answer .
