Hi

agautam, so sorry to hear about that outcome! It's always disappointing to get rejected - however that Wharton program is quite competitive, and there could be a huge number of reasons for what went wrong. April is Reapplicant Month over on the EssaySnark blahg - you can check our site for posts designed to help people in your position: https://essaysnark.com You could even go through a formal Post-Mortem Review (ding analysis) where we look at all angles of your application and your profile and let you know what was the probable cause of the adcom's decision. More information on that is available here https://essaysnark.com/salespage/mba-rejection-analysis/ And, we have a dedicated page with resources for reapplicants set up here: https://essaysnark.com/resources-for-rea ... o-bschool/

The most common reasons for rejection are low stats (GMAT or GPA) combined with unclear career goals and poorly-articulated reasons for wanting an MBA. Those are just the high-level issues that most frequently come up. If your profile meets the standards required for a super-competitive program like the Wharton EMBA then it's likely due to the essays not being as strong as they needed to be. Applying in the earlier rounds is always helpful too, particularly if you're coming from an oversubscribed candidate pool.

Hope that brief sketch of the possibilities is useful. Let us know if we can help you out along the way, and good luck if you're going to reapply!!
