how would one solve this question algebraically? i was able to guess it correctly using reasoning (i narrowed it down to root 2 and root 3, since i plugged in some numbers and tried to approximate, so i knew it would be somewhere close to 1.5s. i then guessed).

but i can't figure out how to actually solve it.

thanks!
